A festival where Tomini which will be held on 10-13 September 2014 in which aims to introduce an underwater tourist potential Tomini, Parigi Mutong, Central Sulawesi to the outside world in which to as destination where tourism has been offering a unique, as well as the beauty and comfort.
"The position of strategic Tomini has made the region to be the heart of the world's coral triangle or Heart of the Coral Triangle," said the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sharif and Cicip Sutardjo, while doing a launching Tomini Bay Festival 2014 in the Office of the Ministry Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/08/2014).
The bay in which has had to be extensive coral reef area of 1,031 hectares with fitted presence of mangrove forest area 785.10 ha. In the same area there has been a Park Nani Wartabone with an endemic species such as Yellow Fin Tuna, and Anoa, and Pig Deer, Maleo and as well as other species which have not been identified.
"Ecosystem Tomini is one of the 26 selected areas of national marine. No doubt, this region also has a potential of coastal resources and as well as very abundant sea for marine tourism and development will as well as the national food, "added from Sharif Cicip Sutardjo.
Tomini festival itself is one of a series of activities from Memorial Day to the archipelago in 2014. And while the highlight of the event Day of the archipelago itself, will be implemented in the district of South Kalimantan province Kotabaru own
